Club Mayz - MS20 vs Impact (NYH379)
(Label: New York Haunted / Vincent Koreman / Drvg Cvltvre)
So the idea was simpel. Just the Arturia Drumbrute Impact (2018), routed trough the Korg MS20 (1978) and record the jams. Both machines are known to be violent & distorted - and that’s what I was going for. Think of it as a sort of The Hague / Bunker Records homage.
I did use a bunch of digital shenanigans afterwards, to make it sound more ‘modern’ and added a 303 VST too.
So let’s go!
PS: Props to Vincent for giving ‘vague, non-typical & messy’ music a place.
PS: The idea to use AI image is part of the label.

Belgian producer Club Mayz emerges from the fog of analog circuitry with MS20 vs Impact, an EP that’s both a love letter to vintage machines and a firm nod to the future of breakbeat electro. Packed with thunderous low-end grooves, overdriven electro beats, and a remix by Drvg Cvltvre, this release carves out its niche in the crowded yet vibrant electro revival scene.
This a calculated assault—chaotic enough to thrill but never veering into excess. It’s also a confident statement from a producer who knows their way around both analog and digital realms, balancing nostalgia with innovation. With this release, Club Mayz stakes their claim as a name to watch in the electro scene—armed with an arsenal of machines, overdriven beats, and a clear vision of where they’re headed. Top notch Bunker style electro! Check it out!
